Our documentary credits are custom made to suit your needs, be it transferable, revolving or of a standby nature. We offer an excellent service through our network of global correspondents.

We offer the following:

Wakalah Documentary Credit

A credit instrument issued by Badr Al- Islami, guaranteeing payments on behalf of the customer to a beneficiary for a stated period of time provided all conditions of the instrument are fulfilled. Wakalah documentary credits are only issued against 100% cash cover.

Musharakah Documentary Credit

Both Badr Al-Islami and the customer participate in the transaction as partners. This can be established either at sight or on usance terms. The customer promises to purchase Badr Al-Islami's share on acceptance of documents.

Murabaha Documentary Credit

A credit instrument issued by Badr Al-Islami on behalf of the customer, to import goods. Upon receipt of shipping documents, the goods are sold to the customer at a deferred price.

Letter of Guarantee

Badr Al-Islami issues various types of guarantees to meet business needs comprising tender bonds, performance bonds, advance payment bonds, retention bonds, labour guarantees, customs guarantees, shipping guarantees, etc. We ensure that these instruments are strictly Shariah compliant.
